WORLD UNDER 25's Event for Gedling I.B.C.
Gedling Indoor Bowls Club has been chosen by the World Indoor Bowls Council to host the World Under 25’s Championships, which include Men’s and Ladies Singles and Mixed Pairs events.
Competitors have been invited from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, South Africa, Spain & Portugal.
The event will take place from Tuesday 26th October until Friday 29th October 2010. Play will take place from 9.30am each day until approximately 8.00pm, with a 2.30pm approx finish on the Friday.
We are indebted to Gedling Borough Council, Councillors’ John Clarke and Jim Creamer for their help and financial assistance in supporting the club in bringing this event to Gedling.
The Management Committee and Club Committee are pleased to be able to bring this prestigious event to our centre, but we will require the assistance of you the members to make it a success.
We are currently seeking adverts to print in the programme these will be charged at £100 and £50 for a page or half page respectively. If you know of any local business who wishes to advertise in the programme please inform us at your earliest convenience.
Entry to the event will be by programme, which will be priced at £2.00, which is value for money for 4 days of excellent bowling.

GEDLING JUNIORS 2010/2011
Gedling Juniors commence their Winter Programme on Sunday 5th September and are looking to build on their successful season of last year when they Won the East Midlands Junior League.
Membership of the Junior Club is Open to anyone from 8 Years of age up to 15 years of age.
NEW MEMBERS extremely welcome. Come along and try it for FREE on Sunday 5th September. 10.00am - 12.00Noon.

GEDLING WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS!

As part of the membership drive to attract more members the Club are opening their doors for FREE on the weekend of 4th & 5th September from 10.00 am until 6.00 pm.
Bowling will be free of charge to both members and non-members in two hour slots from 10.00 am on both days.
This will be advertised in the Nottingham Evening Post and the free newspapers, together with Radio Nottingham.
We are expecting a good turn-out as this coincides with the “Gedling Show” weekend.
