Sadly Missed
COLIN SMITH
( Husband to Maggy Smith)
Following the sad passing of Colin, Maggy would like to inform members of the following:

Dear All

most of you will have heard of the sad death of Colin.

Our grandsons and I would like to invite you to join us at the Mapperley Golf Club on 24th June at 12 noon to Celebrate Colin's life.

There will be no formal funeral, he will have a Pure Cremation elsewhere.

Dress as you wish, he loved colour so no need to wear black, entirely up to yourselves.

We hope to see you on the 24th . It would be helpful if you could let me know if you are likely to come to give me an idea for the catering.

kindest regards

Maggy

ps thank you for the lovely cards I have received.

RIP COLIN

EASTER BOWLS DRIVE GOES WELL!!

Congratulations to Kath Sharpe and Jeff Smith for winning today's Easter Bowls Drive. There were a few bunny ears and t-shirts around too.

The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all and finished with a lovely buffet, raffle and presentation of prizes. This included a lovely big teddy won by Ellen Allen which was kindly made and donated by Keith Abbott's partner Karen.

Thank you to everyone that played, donated raffle prizes, helped run the event and prepared the lovely food.

We are already looking forward to the next one

PETE HOLYK SINGLES FINAL UP-DATE

Commiserations to Pete Holyk after losing his last 16 game in the National finals at Nottingham Indoor on Thursday.

It was a great effort Pete and we are all so proud of you in getting to the finals at your first attempt.

Congratulations again Pete

REMINDERS

I know it is early to be thinking about next winter, but it really would also be
appreciated that if you do plan to put teams in the winter leagues that you do this as
soon as possible so we can ascertain where we are at in terms of the number of
teams we have and whether we have any problems with particular leagues not being
able to run due to the lack of teams. Remember that the leagues are our bread
and butter, and we must keep them running at all costs both during the
Summer and Winter seasons.
